Welcome to the Student Services Monthly Checklist!

April Highlights: preparing for fall registration and important reminders for graduating students.

Action Items

Note the Monday class schedule substitution date.

On Tuesday, April 22, all courses will follow the Monday class schedule rather than the Tuesday class schedule. Please note this substitution on your calendar.

Meet with your academic advisor (undergraduates).

On March 12, the Undergraduate Academic Advising period began for spring registration.

Students will be contacted by their Academic Advisor, Associate Dean's office (professional schools), or the Advising Center regarding how to set up an appointment to review degree requirements and to be cleared for registration.

Registration for Fall begins April 4.

Attention all off-campus students: you must set up Eagle VPN prior to registration in order to register off campus.

When accessing EagleApps Registration off campus, including registering for the fall 2025 semester, you need to use Eagle VPN and 91µĪµĪ 2-Step Verification.

To prepare for this change well in advance of your registration time slot, set up and test Eagle VPN on your computer:Ā .

Note the Summer term billing dates.

Students who have registered for Summer 2025 courses will be charged and billed in early May.

Please note: Students must formally drop a summer course by the published deadline to avoid being responsible for the tuition. Students who simply do not attend courses are still charged and financially responsible for the courses unless they formally drop the course by the drop deadline.

Graduating in May? Verify your diploma name.

Please verify your Diploma Name Information through the link in the Ā by Tuesday, April 15. If you are verifying your Diploma Name from off-campus, you will need to be on Eagle VPN to access the portal.

Order your cap and gown.

If you have not already ordered your cap and gown, you may order them at this time. Information about caps and gowns is available on the Commencement Student Information page.

The deadline to order your cap and gown is Monday, March 31.

Run a degree audit in the (graduating seniors).

Look for the following message: "ALL REQUIREMENTS COMPLETED --- IN-PROGRESS COURSES USED." If a student does not receive this message, he/she will not meet the requirements for graduation and will not receive a degree. Please reach out to the appropriate academic contact (MCAS ā€” Karen Livingston; CSOM, CSON, and LSEHD ā€” Jenna Burke) or your advisor or Academic Dean immediately to resolve any graduation clearance issue.

Register for Graduation.

Graduating students must register to attend graduation. You may register on the Commencement website. If you need wheelchair seating assistance for graduation, you may also indicate that on your registration. To ensure you have no issues on graduation day, please review your student account balance on the MyBill service of the . All balances must be paid no later than May 1 to avoid diploma and transcript holds at graduation.

Complete your Student Loan Exit Interview (graduating students).

Students graduating in May who have borrowed a Federal Stafford or a Federal GradPlus loan should complete an online exit interview at theĀ Ģż·É±š²ś²õ¾±³Ł±š.

Students who haveĀ borrowed a Federal Perkins loan, 91µĪµĪ Law Loan, or 91µĪµĪ Federal Nursing Loan will need to complete their exit interview at theĀ . You will receive an e-mail from ECSI with instructions.

Save the date for the Student Loan Information Session.

The Student Loan staff from the Office of Student Services invites all upcoming graduates to attend an informationalĀ presentation on studentĀ loan repayment on Monday, April 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Devlin Hall 110.

Covered Topics:Ā Need-to-know facts and the Do's and Don'ts of student loan repayment.

If you are unable to attend this session or seek personal assistance, student loan counseling is also availableĀ to all students who have questions on how toĀ navigate loan repayment options. Please contactĀ borrower@bc.eduĀ to set up an appointment.

The 2025ā€“26 Boston College Financial Aid Application priority deadline wasĀ March 1.Ģż°Õ³ó±šĢż is now available online.Ā  You may check the status of your financial aid application in theĀ .

Graduate and Law students, note the start of the 2025ā€“2026 financial aid application process.

Graduate and Law students, the 2025ā€“2026 FAFSA is now available. Visit our websiteĀ Ā for a link to the FASFA and required forms for Graduate and Law financial aid.Ā Ā 

Note the withdrawal deadline.

The last day to withdraw from a course or the University is April 22.

Note a message from the Dean of Students.

Sign up for direct deposit.

As a graduating student, anyĀ meal plan credits over $5 (excluding the mandatory meal plan) will be refunded to your student account after Commencement. These amounts or any other payments being credited to your account may leave you with a refundable balance on your 91µĪµĪ account at the end of the school year.

The easiest and fastest way for Student Services to refund any credit balance to you is via direct deposit.Ā We encourage you to sign up for direct deposit, so that we are able to refund any credit balance to you quickly.

Looking for a job?

TheĀ Summer 2025 job opportunities will be available on theĀ Student Employment Job ListingsĀ page beginning in April. TheĀ 91µĪµĪ CareerĀ CenterĀ offers plenty of resources as well asĀ tips on writing greatĀ resumesĀ and cover letters when applying for student jobs. The current 2024ā€“2025 Academic Year job listings will remain open until May 19, 2025.Ā For students who have secured an on-campus job for the first time, please be sureĀ to bring forms of identification (suchĀ as but not limited to, a valid/unexpired U.S. Passport, or a combination of a valid driver's license or Eagle ID cardĀ ²¹²Ō»åĢżSocial Security card or birth certificate) inĀ originalĀ formats.Ā No pictures or photocopies will be accepted.Ā A full list of acceptable documents for Form I-9 completion can be found on theĀ .Ā International F-1 students will need to bring in their valid Foreign Passport along with their FormsĀ I-94 ²¹²Ō»åĢżI-20 and Employment Authorization Letter from the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS).

Complete Title IV Authorization (if applicable).

Federal regulations require that Title IV funds credited to your student account be applied only to cover allowable charges, unless Boston College obtains authorization to apply these funds to all other charges on your student account. Complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling (if applicable).

Enroll in direct deposit for student account refunds (if applicable).

We recommend that all students use direct deposit when requesting refunds. Refunds processed via direct deposit are faster and do not require pickup. Visit theĀ BillingĀ page for instructions and more information.
